Drum Type Inductor

Drum Type Inductor is of high ability in energy storage and low DC resistance. Equipped with quality ferrite core and durable bobbin, it is capable of high saturation current for PCB surface mounting.

With coil wounded around the cylinder, Drum Type Inductor provides a large air gap for its magnetic field to store adequate energy, therefore, increasing the saturation current of the inductor, which means that the inductor can stand the test of high peak currents without saturation but at the cost of electromagnetic interference (EMI) radiation. It is widely applied to communication equipment like DC-DC converters, remote management system and server, smart home appliance like DVD, media players, and LED backlighting, and consumer electronics like digital camera, laptop computer, and vehicle navigation GPS system, etc.
